Cistern
As you know I am a believer. A woman who believes in prayer. Some women find their hope in the word of God, other in the ways they have created. One thing I do know as woman, as humans we all have a Cistern. We all have a place where the water flows. For some it's a River, for other an Ocean. For me one of the most beautiful places in San Diego is where the River meets the Ocean and they merge into perfection. Isn't the human body made of mainly water? "Our perfect moments in life are those moments when water flows in the beauty of God's perfection."
Events are filled with those we choose to share the moment and time with. Sometimes it's family and blood relations, sometimes it is friends, work relations, and for women of prayer it is sometimes filled with moments we don't understand but we know we are called to prayer.
One of the things I have discovered is as I matured as a women my prayer life turns more to those I have raised. I have raised many women's children. Prayerfully that is. My children had their friends. We all prayed together. The power of prayer is a wonderful thing. Now my prayer continues for these children that are fully grown and the events in their lives. My prayer that they continue in a righteous path with a prayerful life.
Who when I get old will have some authority over me. This to is a right of passage. Mother's of son's pray for wisdom, maturity, kindness, love, understanding, compassion, that they have a steady income, employment, we pray for their future family's. Most of all that they find a wife that will help mate, their friend, their love for it takes a women of understanding to help a man them become the man God created. Old school, right? What use to be old fashion is now filled with things our children want.
Each generation wants to change the world. The 60's had woodstock, 70's had disco, 80's had Madonna, 90's had Y2K (all electronic) now we are in the 2000 is know for change currently we are in 2010 (pronounced twenty-ten era) what will these events bring into the lives of our loved ones. For us baby-boomers we are in the middle of two world, our children and our aging parents. No other generations has spent so much time torn between three generation. The generation of our parents, the generation of our children and the generation we grew up in.
I am a strong believer of prayerful women. We are not only thinking of our sons but also the women they will marry. It will change us and our children forever.
Mothers of daughters pray for different things. I have been blessed to pray with these mom's and they pray for wisdom, understanding, kindness, authority over their own being, power to say NO to temptation, for the right to become a mom, if they are getting married for the strength to endure all the things that will come their way. We really never know what God will bring. We never really know all of the prayer of a moms in our lives. We as women do know that during our teens they can do no right. Later in life, they can do no wrong not because they are perfect, we understand what their prayer has kept us from. We just trust in The Lord thank him daily, hope for the best and trust him when we don't get it.
Now some of you reading this may not agree. We are not all prayerful women. We are not always in "His" perfection. We are however all a "Cristen". Sometimes events happen that are not our prayers, (maybe they were someone else's), sometimes we get hurt, sometimes we get blessed. Whatever happens in life we each have a cistern and if each person stayed in their own then it would be a perfect world, wouldn't it be? My best advice to those who know "Him" is to love "Him". It will all work out according to "His" will for your life.
And when you are looking for someone to plan organize your event or wedding fill out the appointment contact form for your free consultation. It will be your moment of perfection.

Wedding Vows_Cherish
I love it
when couples write their own. I love it
when the Pastor, Preachers, Rev, Teachers encourages them to look, express, and
find the things that are positive in one another. It is moments like this that make the
marriage and the couple hold on to one another. Anyone can find the negative in
their mate; very few can find the positive.
In order to do this each person has to look beyond all the personal
flaws that their mate comes with. You
have to look beyond the family, beyond careers, beyond the history and into the
present and future. The positive helps
create a future home for one another.
This is easy to do say hard to maintain in a relationship that goes from
Romance to everyday life.
One of
favorite songs growing up was and is Cherish.
You have to “Cherish” one another to help each other through all the
difficult things that life may bring.
Maybe you will be one of those couples that nothing major happens, maybe
you are a couple of drama either way Cherishing what you have together lets
each of you know that what you have is special.
Cherish!

Cherish is the word
I use to describe
All the feelings
that I have hiding here for you inside
You don’t know how many
times I’ve wished that I told you
You don’t know how
many times I’ve wished that I could hold you.
You don’t know how
many times I’ve wished that I could mold you in to someone who could cherish me
as much as I cherish you.
You………………………………….
Yours………………………………………….……
Oh I’m beginning to think that man has
never found the words to make you want me.
That have the right amount of letters,
just the right sound, that could make you hear,
Make you see that you are driving me out
of my mind.
Oh, I could say I need you, but then
you’d realize that I want you, just like a thousand other guys who say they
loved you with all the rest of their lies, when all they wanted was to touch
your face, your hands and gaze into your eyes.
Cherish me as much as I cherish you.
And I do cherish do cherish you.
Cherish is the word!
When I was a child I wondered about marriages its plus
and minuses. Most of all how difficult it
was to maintain. It was the 60’s, a time of change. Women are and were powerful beings. They were discovering that divorce was
acceptable in certain situations and acted on it. Watching the people I loved going through
divorces, hoping, praying I would never have to go through one myself left me
with an enormous amount of empathy for those who struggling to express
themselves within their own relationships. It was a time of change that I
compare it to getting ready for a wedding.
Couples hope for:
Love
Romance
Great Sex
Peace
Understanding
Finances
Endurance
Blessings
Sometimes while they
are planning their wedding these gifts don’t always look, feel that way they
would like. As they grow together,
change with life, change with their families, aging parents, siblings who
desire what they have, finances, children who want too much, children who don’t
want more, couples become parents themselves, purchase their first home, friendships
that want to meddle, so will their personal feelings change. Unless the couples remember to Cherish each
other.
In order to succeed
at getting ready for all of these things you have to cherish each other. Respect
Individuality
Personal space
Right to Privacy
The need for
friendship, fellowship, understanding…
Give each other room
to change, grow, and mature. Understand
it will not always be like it was in the beginning, although it should be. But understand sometime truth can hurt, but
truth heals. Most of all find the
positive Cherish each other, the moments in time when you are both at the same
place at the same time.

Vendors...From and event planners viewpoint!
As a wedding, events, and meeting planner I am so blessed to meet and talk with many people. Some are honest. Some are not.
My favorite vendors to work with are those, that like I are thoughtful of the bride and grooms budget. Yes, we can all jack up our prices, yes we can 2x, 3x, the value, however in the average bride, with their families helping them it is about budget. Many people do not like going over budget. I am one of those. I enjoy making money, however I don't like making my clients feel like nothing cause they can't afford my services. For me it is about making people feel blessed with the portion God has provided for them. I enjoy, coming up with creative solutions to get the bride something she wants and yes that means sometimes doing it herself. "To each their portion." Event planners love being extravagant, but sometimes blessings are greater when we are not! Decor heavy events, weddings cost money. Brides can save money by asking their wedding planner to help them come up with creative solutions to any type of decor. It depends on you, the client and your beliefs.
MK Pure Diamond Events is considered a problem solver. We are creative. Enjoy working with our clients and love working with brides on a budget. We know how to work with both family members of the bride and groom. Sometimes we meet with all of them to come up with a solution that works with the whole family. Most of the time we work with the bride and groom. We attend, dress fittings, cake testing, meeting with photography and videographer. We assist you with contracts and make sure that all of us are working as a team to make everything work for your wedding.
My goal as a wedding planner is to add the knowledge to help a bride and groom, be successful on their wedding day. Both families working together to be happy for a moment in time is what I call "A Diamond Occurrence" success for all is success for the future.
