Want Money for Blogging?

Hi there,

I often get asked how image my money. What money I ask?  I am trying to re-enter after working for a hotel and receiving the betting of a lifetime. Long hours low pay, constant demands and complaints of guest. What do you mean you might ask.. I discovered that the meeting and event planning industry and the hotel industry haven't opposing viewpoints on meetings, events and wedding. It helped me in redefining my business.

MK Pure Diamond Events plans more towards marketing and PR then it does the hospitality industry. The hotel industry leans towards more of the hospitality industry and not so much on the Marketing and PR of the meeting, wedding, event. While I was working there all these different times and hours I rediscovered the enjoyment I feel when I write a blog that not only brings information. Customer empowerment. What is a good product what isn't.

I'm taking it to the next level and becoming a professional blogger. Blogdash is one of the company's I have chosen to help take me there. If your a blogger interested in receiving paid employment opportunities click on the likk.

1. I will be receiving parents one of three ways. The blogs I write.

2. The advertisers on my blog, when you click on an ad  a percentage goes to my company.

3. Companies that hire my business to blog for them or Plana meeting, wedding or event.

4. My radio station on Anchor, iTunes,   Google Play. They will also part of this new lifestyle.

Please read disclaimer and note when I am getting paid I will let you know as it may affect what you think or feel. Like, Subscribe, leave a comment below, tell a friend and click on and ad link. Thank you!

Three Little Pigs a Christmas Story

Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls,

Have you ever read the story of "The Three Little Pigs", it was one of the first books my generation learned to read. Required school reading. I laugh because times have change, children are learning to read on iPads instead of books.

My sister and I use to argue about what type of house we would choose. She wanted a house built of straw and I one of bricks. This argument happened before we knew the ending of the story. Who would have thought that a strong house meant you had to help whenever things went wrong.

A horse enjoys hey, however the wind can blow it away! A man can hurt another with a stick, the wind can take it out of "His" hand. The fire house creates the brick for the brick house, the wind can blow the fire out. The brick house can stand alone. However what is the purpose without the straw, stick, fire that created it! In all of it is about knowing that together you can create what is best for the whole.

I am not a pig or a farmer or even a wolf in sheepskin. I did not become a thing of a fool or anything of the world. What I do know is that "He" became those things for us that we don't have too.

What I do know it is about being together in good times and in bad. Helping those you love, even when the price your paying isn't worth it.

It is about the rejoicing of the victory you achieved together. Kicking all things out that herder you from the "Goal".

If one of you lies about another what does that bring you? Just a bunch of roofing material, barley and an empty ride. As empty as the life they choose for you! Or the identity they just stole.

Rejoice in all things!

Merry Christmas!

What About "Gay" Divorce

Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls;

A friend of mine was sharing some insight into the new life that our industry faces. "Gay" marriages. Many in our industry have embraced it, many say it is another source of income, others are undecided and then there are those like me.  Who always had a clear thought about what the bible says a marriage is suppose to be.  How do gay marriages affect this, I know many religious and non-religious or spirit filled churches are in conflict, they have to stand with the bible.  It is the word of God!

Our law states we are to be supportive of the new rights of the human population.  I grew up watching civil rights and how hard people fraught for the simplest of rights, therefore that point is not the point of the arguments I am faced with.  If an officiant feels that her job is just to make sure the bride and groom are legally married and after that their obligations stop, what does a pastor feel?  During my marriage I remember looking for the pastor or preacher that married us.  I just wanted to share some thoughts of things that he had married us with and challenges we would come upon. He had passed away, I remember feeling sad at knowing he had gone to meet his maker.  sad because not only did I miss telling him how good he was about marriage counseling and how accurate he was.  He taught me a lot of biblical truths about marriage that I always leaned on during hard times.

What about divorce? The wedding industry was hit. Hard by the potential of how this will affect the industry.  Those wanting to make many have already begun the process of doing that by teaching people in the industry, the legal ramifications of "gay" marriages. Money is money right? The medium income for gay couple is higher than the average couple.

What about divorce I thought. To myself as I read all the legalities to the industry's new challenge. Are attorneys being trained on the rules to divorce a gay couple or have they been formed.  are the laws different from a man and women marriage.  There is ediquitee   In planning a marriage, does this apply in an "gay" divorce?

Prayerful Events

I just read this blog by Prayfit; he has been tweeting on my Twitter site for some time.  Honestly I thought he was Tyler Perry, they both have a unique way of using scripture that takes a conservative women like myself and makes me look at things a little different.  Today’s Tweet caught my attention.  Someone from tomorrow is praying for you, today. Wait, what? “(Read and you'll see)… http://www.prayfit.com/2012/01/go-ahead-follow/  reminded me of all the events I have planned for others and all the prayers said.  The blessings and joys I had shared with others.  What a great gift this has been.

At a time, when I am feeling sorrow over the loss of my mother in law and my uncle it was comforting that someone is praying for my family.  I know we have all suffered and continue to suffer in the race of life.  We all have tried to fight the good fight.  It is comforting knowing others are there for me as well. Although we suffer today, joy will be here in the morning.  Each teardrop shed has had it’s purpose.
I can honestly say there is not one wedding, anniversary, event, meeting, fundraiser that I have not prayed for.  They are always such special times in another person’s life.  I always pray that my agenda and the agenda of others would not interfere God’s will in the lives of those that the event is for.  I pray that my clients and I become like minded for that reason and purpose.  Pray His grace would be abounding.

Event planners have difficult jobs in a way.  They have to listen to all the worries of the client, help them stay focus on what the goal is, help monitor their budget and help them feel good about what, why, and how they are accomplishing their goals.  Sometimes it means having enough integrity to say No.   The sad part, but the reality of life is we sometimes are judged for these things.  The wonderful part is a man’s personal judgment is for a moment here on earth God’s is eternal.  And as long as I am doing my best it all he asks of us.

Prayfits article reminded me of how many prayers I have said for others.  The missionaries at my church, the children I have taught in Sunday school (whom I prayed for by name), my friends, my family, the family members who live in another part of the world.  It never occurred to me what time the prayer would be said, if it was the day before or the day after.  I just knew I was always grateful for it.  I enjoy praying the event I am planning meets God’s requirement for them which was planned at the day of their birth.  “According to His Grace and Purpose.”  No one can ask for anything else.

Planning Your Green Event

  •  Waste receptacles should be visible and clearly marked with instructions on what should be placed in there.
  • The use of bulk dispensers for condiments such as Ketchup, Mustard, etc. instead of individual packaging.
  • Use china and glassware for all food and beverages.
  • The use of biodegradable service wear, such as plates, utensils, straws, cold and hot cups are good ways to reduce solid waste. Zero Styrofoam should be used.
  • Use of cloth napkins and linens. You can also use paper products; request that they are made of recycled fibers.
  • Announcements during the event should be made reminding your guests that they are attending a green event and what items are being recycled and where these items should be discarded.
  •  Use caterers that commit to using local organic foods, agree to recycle all their food prep waste, and use environmentally friendly products in the preparation and conveyance of food.
  • Consider serving finger or bite size foods that require no service wear.
  • Careful planning with the caterer regarding your guest count will avoid extra waste generated.
  • Make arrangements beforehand that if there is extra food, it should be donated to a local food pantry.
  • Avoid using unnecessary items like plastic coffee stirrers, use stirrers made from wood.
  • If you’re serving alcohol at the event, ask the bartenders to save all glass bottles, plastic and aluminum containers to be recycled with the other event recycling.
  • Encourage participants to ride-share to the event. Post a ride-share page on your event website.
  • If guest lodging is involved, use shuttle service to transport your guest to the event. Fewer cars, less carbon dioxide.
