Mother’s Day Shopping Idea

Hi there,

It’s that time of the year when all the men are thinking what do I get. What do I do? Should I ask the secretary or personal assistant to purchase that one gift that only I should be purchasing. Then the flip  side is she isn’t my mother so why should I purchase or acknowledge her in anyway.  I laugh at that thought, mainly I would have to say there isn’t a married woman that doesn’t think of herself as her husbands mom. Not literally, however if your married long enough there is at least one moment in time the person married to you has become your mom to help you succeed. That’s love.

If you don’t believe me here are some sample:

1. You didn’t want to go to work and wanted to take a what I call a mental health day. You didn’t want you boss to know so you asked your wife to call work for you.
2. You didn’t want to visit mom for a holiday, blamed the wife, kids or family. She heard you didn’t argue and carried the blame for you.
3. You asked her not to do something, it reminds you of mom. Bad childhood memories.
4. You asked her to massage your neck and shoulders after work. They hurt and your stressed out. You taught her exactly what you like stating that’s how mom did it.
5. You like your cloths in a certain way or the laundry folded a certain way. She does it why? It pleases you.  Why? That’s how mom did it.
6. She makes certain recipes that are just like mom made. However, she never makes it good enough. You just don’t want to be married to mom.
7. The coffee in the morning has to be a certain brand. Breakfast placed a certain way. That’s just what you grew up with.
8. You don’t want her or anyone else to know how much the smells of childhood bring back memories you love. This might be mom.

Therefore, this year as I was thinking what to purchase my own mother I went on a hunt for the scent of my youth. I would smell her frangrence when I was a child. Not a hug or a touch just when she walked by. I would think that’s mom. I walked into the fragrance department and thought. How lovely it smelled. Like flowers, feminist, style and elegance. It was definitely a day for men to be shopping for all the sales people smelled of fragrance from spraying it all day. 

I thought to myself. Do my own children remember my frangrence? Does my husband? Now my ex. If he does this is the time for me to use it. Just joking. I enjoy the thought that when you plan weddings one of the most thought about moments is what will the frangrence be. If too strong it will overwhelm the guest if too little it will go unnoticed. Therefore, I say to all husbands, sons, lovers, boyfriends purchase your girl a fragrance that will forever remind you of each other. For there is one thing we know in the world, love saves. Even if you din’t have the best wife, mother or lover, the frangrence will serve as an alarm and you can rung. Just joking! It really is a way of showing how much you care.

How's 2018 treating you so far? Here is what I have been up to.

1. I didn't make any new years resolutions.
2. I didn't purchase any new technology items.
3. I decided I am doing just fine as being myself.
4. I decided that it is better to be myself than be in the pit with a bunch of snakes.
5. A tag is not a tag until you test what it wants. (Same works for a moleskines).

Most of all I decided I am worth more than those who know me want me to be. I'm not worth it for them. I am worth it for myself. I don't have to be perfect. Perfection is for the movies. When you think of it that type of perfection is the actress or actor at work, doing their craft, something they love. Getting paid very well for it. It is the results of years of studying their craft.

This year I decided I am worth every penny I spend on myself. Every breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, soda, vegan, non-vegan, (you understand what I mean) food I purchase for myself is acceptable I am worth much more to myself.  I am blessed with the belief it  people who love me and don't want anymore harm coming to me. I've had some really sad things happen the last few years. They know I tell them just about everything I do. I trust them. They know who they are.

It is when one expenses the good and bad of life. One realizes the importance of oneself. You see if you can't be honest with yourself. You can't be honest in relationships. I have personally been through things others don't want. That was God doing His thing. I still love. Good, bad ugly, through it I did my best. It wasn't great or big. It didn't bring fame or money. It brought truth of myself and the desire and nature of man. What helps with that? A book I read have read every day.

This my organization is simple. Clean. Quiet. Plain and beautiful it is truth. My truth is not your truth and my organizer doesn't have fancy to do list, budget pages, goals, wish list or funnel systems. I find it like a breath of clean air or a drink of clean water. It has times, dates, months, year. I just write in what I need to do in the time slot and do it. I see if I really need more thought the year.
There is such a need between need and want. I am blessed to know the difference. That's what I treaded myself too this year. Organization.

Holiday Gift Ideas

Saying I have some great fantastic idea for gifts 2017 the truth is for those you care for the ideas should come from withing yourself.

How silly is this list. It's all the things you'll be receiving from Santa Claus this year. Just joking. The reality is is Christmas or holiday shopping is difficult when we try to put the person or make them greater than ourselves. Think to yourself. Is this person's taste like mine or not. Do they purchase the household appliances for themselves,  or entertainment or electronic devices that you can afford. If they don't and you know they will enjoy it then do that.

#Blogmas 2017 Where is it I can't find it?

Hi there Diamond Glamor Girls,

As we look at new and old tradition I came across a new one that #bloggers have as well as #vlogger. It's #blogmas or #blogmas. What is this new custom I do not understand. 

 I have heard of #blogma you know the annoying words that one read in a blog that gets your blood pressure up. Your annoyed with everything around you, mainly the words you read have as such evoke and emotional reaction within you, your not sure and you can get out of control?

In the search to understand this foreign word, that's how it sounds to me I searched the Internet like most people to only discover a list of things to do. I already have enough things to do. It's the holiday season. Then the search continued. #Blogmas it isn't listed in the dictionary. Hum! There is the word "#Blogwash" is. There are other words related which lead to this overwhelming reality that this modern world has new things to learn everyday. Vocabulary lessons still happen in adult's. This will be an adventure in blogging at Holiday. 

By the way where is it exactly I can purchase blogmas? I went to several stores today and couldn't find it. Can and will you help me.

Hoping it will be an adventure for all of us.

Let's Shop

OMG Girls,

How I enjoy shopping. Not for me personally for my clients. Yesterday, I went shopping to see if there was colors where trending. There are seasons, when colors trend and everyone is doing the same thing. The department stores all sell simular items. I means simular colors.

That has stop now. Which means people are breaking away and doing their own thing. That is how it should be.

Much success to you all. I'm now existed again about meeting and event planning. My clients will be back at creating their own vision vs what's trending. They (we) are able to create their events from a photograph, an item that they purchased on travel and what to recreate the vision for their friends to enjoy. The home decor is back to doing your own thing. However, I do recommend hiring and interior decorator.

What Is The Perfect Wedding Shoe

I saw this ad in an email I was sent "Wedding Shoes" shop now online. I began to think about what is a perfect shoe? What is it that woman look for in a shoe?  What makes are feet look beautiful? We woman want to look beautiful on our wedding day! It is the only day we try to make things perfect!

First, perfection is different for every woman! That means to some a simplistic wedding is perfection to others it is every detail in place! Large sums of money spent and follow all traditions. For me personally, since my father had passed away it was a church wedding with a church reception. No fancy dinner, no dance, just a college student getting married to her college graduate. My grandfather wasn't capable of walking me down the isle, sink had to ask my brother-in-law. He also sang "The Lord's Prayer" at our wedding. We dated since I was in high school. I have no regrets it was perfection to me. All a memory now.

I do remember when I was shopping for shoes how difficult it was. How do you pick a shoe to match a wedding dress. The last thing you want is blisters on your feet on your wedding day. That matches the dress. That make you feel like you can wear them all day and all night.

1. Comfort over looks rule! You'll be wearing them all day and all night.

2. Cost. This is where I think most woman don't think about. The average wedding shoe or proper shoe will run 10-15% of the cost of your wedding dress.

3. Fabric. The average wedding shoe is silk or satin. However, if you grew up with a dad like I had it was a beautiful hand crafted leather. Many come with embellishment. Many of my brides are wearing sandals (flip/flops) These are most appropriate for beach weddings or for dancing after the ceremony.

4. Dress Fitting: You will have to have your shoes before your dress fitting. The dress is hemmed according to the hight of your shoe.

5. Heel height, sexy heels or versatile flats?

What type of shoe do you want? You don't have to change your shoe style for your wedding day. Stick to what you normally wear!

6. Destination wedding! Consider the season! Will it be a beach wedding or winter wedding. Flip flops, sandals, or wedges are fine for the beach ankle boots or booties are perfect for winter weddings.

7. Dance or No Dance? This is important, why? The souls of the shoes and the ability to move in them can help or hurt you on the dance floor.

8. Do you want to wear the shoes again? Personally, I think it's a lot of money spent if your not going to wear them again. I wore my wedding shoes many times. It was one of the best investments I made! It was made with lots of love, determination and respect of what my father had taught me about shoes.

I Am Who I Am

Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls;

You know I love the idea of speaking out for woman, woman's issues and most of all the right to be a "Christian" woman without the stereotype that we have to be so humble we become the doormat for anyone and everyone. Christianity, goes back further than the United States and womanhood begins before Eden. God knew what He was doing so, who am I to question Him. He made me woman and he clothe me.

I am who I am (Ex 3:14) and I humbly say I love clothing. Thank God it is more than a leaf. (Gen. 3:21) I was on facebook yesterday when I came across a post.  It is a new company that brings "personal stylist" to your fingertips. Now you can go shopping with a "personal stylist".  Men unclothe us we go shopping.! Cost them money. I am all for that! If they had righteous thoughts towards us then they would be. The last thing I would want to see is my preacher, teacher, speaker, etc. without cloths.

You've heard the old saying they tell speakers. It is to look out into the audience and imagine them naked. The funny thing is for some of speakers that is a terrify thought more than getting up in front of  people and speakers. The thought of naked people starting back at me all shapes, all sizes, all colors, with all different types of agendas. Wow, I would rather go shopping!  (You are suppose to be laughing at this point.)

A Professional Shopper aka Personal Shoppers defined in the dictionary as:
an individual who is paid to help another to purchase goods, either by accompanying them while shopping or by shopping on their behalf.

Before you ask me. The name of the company I am talking about is "Stitch Fix'. I can't recommend them, I can't not recommend them. My friend shops this way. She enjoys purchasing her cloths this way. Basically, what the company offers is a personal shopper who goes out and purchases cloths for you. They ask you a series of questions about your shopping habits. Then they send you shipment of clothes they shop for you. You decide how often the shipments arrive. Every other week, monthly or every two months. The clothing is an average of $65.00. What I discovered for myself from looking at their website is I enjoy shopping. It is fun and away for me to express my personal style. If you take out the relationship part of a personal shopper than what is the point? You judge for yourself what you like. Having a personal shopper in my time meant a person who would get to know you, your body type, your style and then find things you would look good in. It is part of wedding and event shopping for our clients. We get to personally know them and shop for their event. The online method felt rather cold to me. That's my thoughts.
