When I was a child, I rested as a child now that I am a child I put away childish things. This doesn't mean we forget them. It doesn't mean we don't have our inner child. Who needs to be nurtured, loved, touched. It means we don't respond the same way to things, people place.

For example: when you're in your teens and twenties, a male or female looks at you and one thinks several things. "Yes, I'm cute. No I'm not yours. Look but don't touch. I got it together. Is there something wrong, out of place. Do I have something on me to make you stare?" Depending on the circumstances one can think lots of different things.

As one matures the responses change. " What does he / she want. Don't touch this. Stop staring I have nothing for you. That's stupid. Ugly. Get away from me. I don't have to carry you or want to." Yes, the older one gets the less the price we want to pay. We paid the price for the success we had. It's a matter of understanding the persons pin sarrow and reality of what it cost them.

A placesetting is like that. Some of my clients can afford placesettings of gold, silver or copper. Others can not. Who am I to judge who's plcesetting is better? The simplest placesetting might be the richest. The sincerity of their heart is more beautiful than gold or silver. Yet, the client with all the money he everything for their guest. They assume the money can purchase whatever they want. Richest are deceptive or are they? It depends on the one holding it.

Is it going to be a green Christmas I ask myself?

• One with an abundance of gifts or will I stay on budget? 
• What is the importance of saving money?
• Do I spin and spend or stay and save?
• All these questions I have for myself. Life is different now.
• Life that I never choose.
• Expected or wanted. It feels forced.
• What is the importance of Christmas?
• What is it for?
• Maybe I'll claim the pyramids or fall to the floor.
• Oh no, I guess it's just another Apple store.

What Was The 30 Day Blogging Challenge For?

Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls,

When my oldest child came home from school one day and told me I should blog. I told him I didn't know what he was talking about. He was kind enough to explain it and help me set it up. He explained I can use it to express all the experiences of running a businesses.

I know this will sound different to some people. Our family when he was a child believed in showing off for each other and telling each other stories about our lives. He knew as a single mom head of household (as taxes or RIS calls it) I needed to make more money to support my fAmily. I know there are thousands of woman like me.  I told him I don't know what your talking about family. Helping my elderly mom and her second husband who is struggling with a bunch of elderly complications. My son, knew how much I was struggling to make ends meet. That's what they use to call it. If I tell my story it's a woe is me, story. Therfore, I don't enjoy listening to it myself, so I don't expect you too. I'll stop with the personal and deal with the reality of blogging. I understand to many bloggers it's made up stories and videos, however this one is true and real and all that.

I was reading about how to get more audience to read my blog when, the "Inktober" was about to start. I thought to myself is there something like that for bloggers. I know how to ink and water color and paint I thought to myself. Then I realized that I would be starting a whole new career. I can't give up on something my child wanted for me. Therefore, I will perservire. I looked up if there were anything like this for bloggers. There is. I wrote blog post for thirty days. Something I usually did once or twice a week.

I had two goals.

1. To grow my reading audience.
2. To learn how to make it a substantial income.

Here's what has happened.

Believe it or not I was able to grow my audience. Not only grow my audience have people return and read the next one. That took me by surprise. It was a pleasant surprise. I kept on. What is it "they" (people who make a living at blogging) do that I am not doing?) I researched and continued trying to understand what I was doing.

I still am like other creative people trying to understand the difference between a good blog, a blog that just writing for the sake of writitn and a blog that has a value. What really is the difference? The reader determines what is relevant and worth reading for their own lives. I started this blog as a gossip and therefore, does it have world appeal.

The second goal to make money. Did I? In thirty days? I'd have to say yes. Will I be paid cash for this effort? In time. How much time I don't know. I think I make money because of two factors one. I added an affiliate program like Amazon.com.

Therefore, any products I was talking about I could show the person. Letting them have freedom of choice if they want to purchase it or not. The second reason is that people around the world were kind enough to click on an advertisement. Taking a second or two out of their day to view or read a commercial. Now I will make it a point to do that for others. It's not a have too, more like a want to. Passing it forward.

30 Day Challenge - What Is My Advice For New Bloggers!

Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls;

Have you ever held a sparkler in your hand? Looked at it closely? Watched the twinkle little lights how they fall all over the place? That's how I see blogging. It's letting my light shine. We all have a light. It's how we let it shine that is important as well as the why and how.

Advice 1. Enjoy what your doing.

 Blogger money. If the sole reason for blogging is money, then STOP! Your in the wrong profession. I'm not sure what type of money this really is a photograph of. Bit coin or blogging for Money. The point is its not a get rich quick sceme.

Advice 2. Understand your Motivation.

Write anywhere you feel comfortable. The situation your in does not have to affect your outcome. You can rise above your struggles to make yourself better, stronger.

Advice 3: Writing first happens by the thought; what shall I write about. Look at your options and the start. Procrastination just creates more stress you can always write and erase and rewrite. You just have to start.

What should I use to write with? Pencil,  paper, table, computer is, phone. Whatever you have when the creative thoughts come into your mind.

Many time I get creative thoughts while I'm waiting for someone or at a appointment so I just use my phone. I think it is my preferred method at the moment. It's always ready. Even my laptop has to be turned on. I don't always want that.

Advice 4.  Use what makes you feel like you can get the job done.

30 Day October Challenge - Day 17 What Places Would You Like To Travel To

Hi there Diamond Glamour Girls;

To dream how many place I would like to visit is the question your asking, right? Other wise to be absent from oneself in spirit is to be with the Lord. Unless I can afford to travel I choose to stay. I travel in real live, not in spirit. Therefore, let's look at the world map together.

I choose blue and green. From the sky I believe I would see it like this. Just joking. I looked for a map simular to the one blogger gives. I travel as far as east is from the west and south is from the north. With a stop at Northeast, Southwest, Northwest, Southeast.

American's are free to travel wherever they choose. I'll allow you (my person asking) to pay for my travel expenses, meals, housing and if it's a permanent stay a paycheck in the form of a yearly salary better Healthcare and benefits package.

Now I have a question for you? The tabs on you for my flying expenses. Right? Those who known know. Those with understanding choose and those with understanding respect the word NO! Respect leads to reality I'm not flying anywhere soon.

30 5ay October Challenge-Thankful Thursday

Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls,

What is there to be thankful for when this year there was earthquakes in Mexico,  flooding in Texas an Puerto Rico and many other places in the United States, fires in the Northern California Valley and so many deaths. Many people are alone and trying to survive.
Financially, spirituality, physically, and emotionally I was I had the answers for you. I don't.

I myself have experienced devastation some so profound that I have now words for. Here is what I consider a good day. Thankful day!

1. When I wake up in the morning.
2. When I receive a phone from my children.
3. When I move into my house that is fully paid for.
4. When I am able to open a book and read without crying. The memories of loss are his playground. His trophies. His honors and his lies.
5. His thoughts are not my thoughts, my thoughts are not his thoughts. This I know for the ____________ tells me so.

That's thankfulness. I'm thankful that I know the difference.

SUCCESS

Hi there,

You know yesterday we talked about Goals on the anchor radio show and today we discussed success. What is success? How does one accomplish it. As we talked about yesterday you set a goal and don't allow adversity to stop. Please read the Goal blog for the details on how to set a goal.

1. Personally, I put the goals I want to accomplish on paper.  

2. I add a date to it.

3. Break it down to smaller task.

4. Work on a task each day until goal is accomplished.

For example yesterday I wrote I want to save money. I could have made the choice to have a an elaborate breakfast because I was kicked out of the place I was living due to having to fix the air conditioning system. Instead I went and order a coffee and a scone this const me $4.68 saving me approximately $15.32. That might not seem as much, however if you start adding that 7 times it equals $107.24 a week. That I would say is a savings. That will add up to $5,576.48 dollars a year. Is that money or what?

Now others have a different way to look at it for example  7 Steps to Achieve Success but Brian or 7 Steps to Achieve Your Dreams Chris Wildnern both Good Rticles to read. THe more you read the more likely you are to find out who you are and what thoughts work for you in achieving your success. If you graduated from high school that great. You chose a career instead of college that's okay, nothing wrong with that. I'm sure your employer has a form of advancement  the company your employ. You just have to empower yourself and figurine out what you want. One you do figure the steps you have to take to get there and go for it.

For example to become a wedding planner there is a certification program one must take. Test to pass to qualify. They don't ask you for an advanced degree, they just ask you to attend, follow the lessons, learn, take the test, pass and then find employment. Don't make things harder than what they need to be. Just do what it is you want to accomplish.

Blogging for Money

Hi there,

I often get asked how image my money. What money I ask?  I am trying to re-enter after working for a hotel and receiving the betting of a lifetime. Long hours low pay, constant demands and complaints of guest. What do you mean you might ask.. I discovered that the meeting and event planning industry and the hotel industry haven't opposing viewpoints on meetings, events and wedding. It helped me in redefining my business.

MK Pure Diamond Events plans more towards marketing and PR then it does the hospitality industry. The hotel industry leans towards more of the hospitality industry and not so much on the Marketing and PR of the meeting, wedding, event. While I was working there all these different times and hours I rediscovered the enjoyment I feel when I write a blog that not only brings information. Customer empowerment. What is a good product what isn't.

Fashion Modern Style for Less

How fun is this for me. Anyone, that lived through the era of the late 60's early 70's to see the clothing styles return.  Fashion statements have always been a trend. It is so much fun to watch new generations have some of the same things I had had in my youth. What a blessing!

Currently, it is off the shoulder and anklet pants. The off the shoulder blouses were called angle blouses and dresses and the anklet pants were called 3/4 length pants. I have a feeling fashion is going to be big in 2017. Maybe that has to do with Mrs. Trump being in the white house. She has a scenes of fashion that reminds reporters of the Jackie and Bobby era, which I personally loved. I remember I became a DYI young lady. Reality, I was much younger than that. My era if you were female you were always consider a young lady.  I learned to sew and learned how to create fashion for less. It was a battle my mother and I always had. Who was better seamstress. I became very good at sewing a straight line and sewing buttons in. If I could save the money for the fabric then I could use her sewing machine. I started learning how to sew very young with my barbie dolls. I would draw them and she slowly started teaching me how to sew them. I would take my paints, crayons and paper and design fabric, draw dresses and as I grew older tried to make the patterns to sew the cloths. The better I got at it the more competition I had from my mother and others.  It is always a love / hate relationship of who is right? Her fashion, was not mine, her people where mot my people, however we can learn many things from the generations before use as well as the generations after us. Either way it lead me to taking classes and then entering college to study and learn what I could. That's when I discovered how competitive the field is and decided on teaching instead. That's enough about me. What I want to encourage all the Diamond Glamour Girls out there is to do great things with their lives. Whatever, you love doing do it with the best you you can do. I have to be honest and tell you I have a great love for fashion and what you can do with one piece to create many.

Get your fashion books, sketch books, drawing pencils,  and start designing...The Camelot Years of fashion our back and lets watch it develop together. I say this because of all the comparisons of Mr. and Mrs. Trump to the Kennedy's. Although my belief is a little different. Melanie Trump was just a baby then, so it's not a baby thing its a real time, real world thing. I laugh with those that want to stay in an era and not change and I covet those of you who are born and this time with all the new things/ tools, technology and equipment to use in your new lives and career choices. Many new careers will open this year as this first lady expresses herself through fashion. I am excited about what she will do, I believe not like newscasters that she has more to offer than just good lucks and fashion. I believe she will not only make the United States of America proud of her role as the first lady, she will also make woman proud to be a young lady, woman.

 This blouse was called spaghetti straps I'm not sure what they call it today, however I do know for the DYI (Do It Yourself) Girl...you can sew it up in less than a day..several hours.  The challenge is there for you to take.

 For the mom's who still want fashion off thee shoulders however still want their children to find them dignified, respectable when in public you can always throw on a little cover up like this one.

 The 3/4 pants or anklets are best left to the young woman who can show off that pretty little piece of them. How fun it is to be young and fashion thought worthy.

 The off the shoulder, not. well kind of. It represents the willing to show a little shoulder, however not willing to be off the shoulders.

Here is a simple off the shoulders blouse with that would take maybe an hour to sew. Planned correctly it could look as glamours as you'd like.

Don't want to be spend thee money on trendy clothing? Then I found a cute store that will help you purchase the clothing for less. The name of it is Styles for Less, the fashion is trendy and will last for a season, for those on a budget or just want cloths for a season for the trend.

Weddings on a Budget

San Diego is the number one place for destination weddings. For brides on a budget its blue skies and ocean make a perfect backdrop for saying ones vows. When an engaged couple is thinking about their wedding, wedding locations, are a couple of tips.

1. Find the things you both enjoy. Whatever it is earthy types, city types, if you’re a pink girl. It is what you and your fiancé like doing together. Then look for locations. Parks, beaches and historical places tend to be the least expense venue, just the cost of a permit and you on your way to having a beautiful location on a budget; however you will have to add the cost of rentals.
2. One of the things I love doing with the brides on a budget is I take them to the floral mart. This is an early appoint usually between 6:30 or 7:00 to see the greatest solution of flower. Floral vendors start as early as 4 am. Sometimes floral farmers also own florists stores, since they grow the flowers they usually have great ideas to arrange them. I even had one bride who had a lot of friends, we predesigned the table décor and they put the arrangements together the day of the wedding, however this is rare. The cost of the budget went from $10,000 to $300 for all the table décor. Good friends pay off big for weddings when you can get them to help.
3. Photographer is the areas were I do not recommend taking a shortcut or paying less. These are your lifelong memories and they can either make the wedding day fun or a long day, by interrupting the schedule. Just make sure of a couple of things. 1. The photographer must be unobtrusive. 2. He takes as many of the family photos prior to the wedding. All the bride and bridesmaid photos, bride and her family, all the groom and grooms men, groom with his family photos. If the photographer has an assistant it works better. Add in extra time between the ceremony and reception, where you can then take the whole wedding party photos. Let your guest mingle at the reception while you do this part.
4. If at all possible hire an event planner. They have experience in this matter and their goal should be to take the burden off the couple and family and let you enjoy the day.
