National Day of Prayer

Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls;

This bit of gossip is something worthy of speaking about.  It is something we should all be doing for our children, husbands, friends, and maybe even our parents.  Ha! What a thought, that we ask our children to pray for us. When was the last time you asked your child, who may or may not be a child to pray for you?  This is what is cool.  They are suppose to want to.

One of my favorite moments of the year is attending "National Day of Prayer"  In the high school it was at the flag pole that everyone met.  In Junior High it was at the entrance.  In Elementary School the Teachers got together at lunch, they couldn't make it a school event where my children attended because of religious freedom activist.  I always tried to attend this event.  Not only because I got to pray for the Nation, also because it helped me I was able to become friends with like minded people who helped me raise my children.  They became friends that lasted until graduation.  We were able to help each other throughout the years, car pool moments, pick them up and when I was in the hospital, they helped me with taking my children to school, picking them up and even brought cooked meals.  Greatly appreciated.  Gave my children a no fear, lifestyle. It's nice to make friends that last a lifetime. Yes, some have been offended throughout the years, no one is perfect.  I know if I called on them today they would receive me as I them. That is what is great about being a Christian, we know we are "Forgiven".  Even though we still have to ask.

This years gossip scoop is that some lady, took it over.  I think it might be someone you might know.  Imagine that a women leading prayer.  Unheard of right.  One woman among many men.  Wonder what her life is like. This is what I would be praying if I were on her team. "Woe, to you, scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! For you devour widows houses and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation". Matt.23;14 I think people who talk endlessly and don't say another important fall under this category.  They want, they don't help.  We are called to be steadfast in prayer. Rom 12;12, we are asked to praise Psalms 113;3; we are to ask for mercy, Psalm 56;1-2.  I have to share with you one of the greatest pleasures I have ever had is to be on this person's prayer team. Yes, I have asked all these things not only for myself, also for others.  The friend who might lose her unborn child, the friend who's husband got fired and was about to loose her home, the friend who's husband was seen cheating around town (not the smartest of things to take your children to watch, you know children have a voice), the friend whose home was searched by IRS, the other friend whose husband went to war and she was pregnant, there are so many cries of God's people. His people know you, love you and hope for the best even in the worst of circumstances.  This time I as as a child once more asking for prayers over my life. Protection, Grace, Mercy, Peace, Money, Finances, Home, Food, Shelter, all those things the average American needs and desires. All those things the bible talks about we need prayer for, so do I.  I doubt that she knows who I am, for I was one of many who had the pleasure of praying with her on her prayer team.  God calls us for a reason and a purpose and may her reason and purpose be blessed this year! Congratulations, Ann! On May 1st I will be praying that you Glorify the Lord and Bless this Nation with His Prayer.  Maybe some of those blessings will run off into my life again...too much devastation in a person is not Good for the Soul.

Ann Graham-Lotz, what a pleasure it is to gossip about you as this years prayer Chairperson of National Day of Prayer. Read more about it on nationaldayofprayer.org  Ann, gossip loves talking about all those "Wounded Worries" life has left along the roadside, or "Just Give me Jesus" is the 'Obsession" everyone should have, Maybe we should talk about "Into the Word" how I tried to fit in but my human body had limitations only to discover my limitations, I had to go and ask a stupid question like "Why?" only to discover I was placed in "His Glory" to then have to claim "I Saw the Lord". Get this the minute I did that my friends thought I was mental, or emo or out of this world which then made me have to explain myself by telling them "God's Story' and asking them to please help me because I was trying to "Embrace God".  They still think, I don't know what I am talking about, I swear it's true...Oh, I don't think as a Christian woman I am suppose to swear, am I?  I have a role God gave me and I am suppose to stay within those bounds, in order that I may serve the Lord correctly. I applaud you for taking this role on, and standing in a place few woman do. I pray it will not only change our Nation's. Maybe we will embrace more woman as Woman who not only know Jesus, we too can be considered "Woman of God" Maybe as we prospers as woman we will be trusted by Men of God, that we want very much the same things God Wants for us. We just have different vision, passion, desire, but still know and want the one true God to Bless our lives.  That it!  That's the next title "God Wants".

Who's in Control of Your Ovaries? (Motherhood)

"And Adam called dhis wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living." Gen. 3:20

From the moment a female finds out she is pregnant life changes.  Shortly after that the back hurts, she becomes tired, doesn't want to be touched, feet swells, face swells, people greet the belly instead of her.  People no longer say hello, they star and talk to the baby to be.  Family says hiand right   away starts asking how do you feel. As if suddenly you should be feeling something, but your not sure what, so you ask the question you don't want to ask.  "How should I be feeling?"  As soon as that question gets asked....put on your listening ears cause the rest of the time you will be hearing about every women who is there experience with pregnancy.  The Good and the not so good.  I can remember thinking....help me.

Your mom tells everyone about how her pregnancy was with you.  How she felt,  It is her payback time.  Her time to share how you made her feel.  How you took away her freedom. How life changes after you have a baby, and the marriage is never the same.  I laugh at how things can be so different from one women to another.

Technically, do you think Eve would have accepted the name if she knew its definition?  I think not!  she would of had to choose which living thing she wanted.  Do you want this or this or that.  If I had to do over I would have told God, I want.....  Instead of "Dear God, may I please have....honestly no mom want to think of their son as a "Fill-her", but was that what God meant by all living things? But then again was the snake one of those living things?  If so was he from Adams thought life?

I think if Adam was the best God could make then think about it...he reacted to the snake exactly how men react to "Honey, I'm pregnant." They look at us like we are from another planet.  As if we did it all by ourselves. Confession l know their are devises that exist like that but I don't think it is God's best.  However, they don't talk much either.  So who knows.  "Not right now..I am just about to....Oh touchdown!  What did you say honey your what?"

What is Motherhood really about.  Ask your children in about 20 years if they are still talking to you and see what they answer.  My answer...."Love".  Learning to love in a way that nothing on earth or heaven will ever teach how totally and completely you can love another human. That raising one of those living thing God gave Eve took a whole lot of GRACE!

Getting Inspired

10 Unique Ideas for Positive Thoughts
1.       Earn your wing.
Overcome your negative thought live by choosing friends that think the best of you.  Read material and information that challenges not only your thoughts but motivates you to try new things.  While you try new think, think positive thoughts about yourself and others.  Such, as I can do this.  I will do this.  And everything will be okay once I have done this.   Have faith, good things come to those that believe.
2.        Meet in the middle.
As you are on your way to becoming a new you.  Realize that meeting is the middle is the best you have.  Don’t compromise your values or being for others.  Negotiate with the end result in mind, always respecting yourself first.  Even Christian values teach us that we do not have to become a door mat for anyone.  The United States of America is all about freedom and justice for all.  Freedom to try new things is acceptable; give yourself permission to be okay with who you are.  Past things people have said about you don’t matter.
3.       Create Child like Enthusiasm.
Remember the first time you road a bike, how excited you were?  You might have fallen, scarped you knee but mom or dad was there to help you, cheer you on, encourage you.  Well guess what, you probably got up and road the bike again and felt good about your accomplishment.  This is how you have to feel about what ever new venture you are trying.  Mom’s always cheer for their children’s accomplishment.  Adulthood is about learning to cheer for yourself.  You don’t have to brag about it you just have to self talk and tell yourself you are better for tiring it.  You’re great!
4.       Dive Right In
Pick the new thing you are going to do, and as Nikes ad once said:  “Say just do it”.  Make sure you feel good about your accomplishment of trying no matter what the end result is.  This may sound controversial but the first time we try something we are never perfect.  Therefore, keep a positive attitude and keep trying until you succeed at your goal.  Eventually you will have accomplished and achieved the goal you had in mind.
5.       Hitting a Home Run
Your home run is never what others want for you.  It may not even be described or look like what you thought, but it will be something in the vicinity of what your end goal is.  For example:  I knew my whole life I wanted to children.  A boy and a girl.  I had my goal and dream since childhood.  Guess what the goal was accomplished.  I have two wonderful sons.  Both the kindest most loving sons a mom can ask for.  Did I plan that they would both be boys…no.  Did I achieve a lifelong dream…yes.  Was it exactly what I had planned for not really but the beauty and perfection that God created within them I would never trade?  They are fearfully and wonderfully made and I thank Him daily for them.  I know the goal and my accomplishment shared with you is personal, but other business goals came true as well.  Like owning a successful business, this also was a lifelong goal.  It’s come true.  I am blessed.
6.       Make History
To live life is to make History.  There is world history, personal history, financial history, make sure the history you are creating is set on the foundation you want.  Mine was on Christian values.  What will you be?  Ask yourself questions, not just superficial questions but valuable question.  Like what do I believe in?  Where do I want to be when I am 20, 30,40,50,60,100 years old?  Then plan, set your goals, faith come in your goal meets will, avoid detours (others ideas about what you should or should not accomplish) tell others your goals are set and you will get back to them when it is accomplished.  Believe in yourself all that is good.  God is good.
7.        Spotlight Success
To help you realize your accomplishment.  Keep a journal.  If you do it on the computer make sure to back it up.  When you have moments you feel you haven’t accomplished a goal or everything is going wrong, look back, give thanks, and know it is time to set a new goal.  Successful people live in the moment, while knowing each person has a path to take.  Some seek fame, money, others peace and joy, “Merely Christianity”, whatever your thing is know this is what you were meant to accomplish.  Thieves my come and go but grace and mercy live forever.  So show yourself grace and mercy.
8.        Use the Law of Attraction
When I was a Mary Kay consultant this is the first thing I learned.  We attract those that think like us.  It is a like minded society.  In Mary Kay when you start building friendship or a team and you have a dozen women you are responsible for and you look at them you discover they are all like you.  This is one of the greatest, silliest blessings.  Like minded people attract like minded people.  They may come in different sizes, look different, but their values are similar to yours.  Good thoughts about self help you get the goal you want.  I highly recommend you think good thoughts about others and it will reflect greatly upon you.  No one accomplishes goals without meeting others along the way that helps us.
9.        Reach A High Point
When you reach your moment of glory, that special moment when all things are working for you and not against you.  Bask in itEnjoy it.  Quite yourself, give a silent thank you to all those that help you accomplish your goal.  Know that for some this is as good as it gets.  Journal it, in detail remember all the little moments that got you to where you are at. Shine!  Your are at the greatest moment of you goal.  Know that there are more goals in the future to be accomplished.  Start working on the next one.
10.   Fly High
This is a moment when you feel you are soaring through the sky.  My father called it an eagle’s moment.  So USA, don’t you think?  He loved those moments in his life and taught me to appreciate them.  He was my best teacher.  My father’s influence in my life was what help me cope after his death; from the bible, to setting goals, keeping accountability of myself to the gratefulness of the appreciation for grace and mercy in my life and in the lives of others.  His encouragement in my life was priceless. That is why I am sharing it with you.  Enjoy it; once you fly high you will never want anything else.  Whether it is an accomplishment in your child’s life or a signing a big contract making the most money you have ever made, fly high moment happen all the time.  Keep your priorities straight.  Mine where always God first, family second, career third.
