You just might be kissing an Angel on Valentine's Day!
Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls,
If your wondering what you should be doing this day...don't! It is a time to have fun with the person you love. If you have a long term relationship it was the time to be child like again. If you are contemplating asking someone to marry you, since it is the number one day that men propose to women. Then men put your best cupid outfit on and show her how much you love her. Some enjoy big things, the newest is videos or getting all their friends in on the action. Some women just prefer being intimate and don't need big signs of affection to know their men love them. Men love is not so much about what you want, but how to show her that you love her without changing yourself or her. Acceptance is the key to any good relationship. It is where respect meets love.
History of Valentine's Day!

The Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred. One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided thatsingle men
made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed
marriage for young men. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the
decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young
lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius
ordered that he be put to death.
Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons, where they were often beaten and tortured. According to one legend, an imprisoned Valentine actually sent the first "valentine" greeting himself after he fell in love with a young girl--possibly his jailor's daughter--who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter signed "From your Valentine," an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories all emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic and--most importantly--romantic figure. By the Middle Ages, perhaps thanks to this reputation, Valentine would become one of the most popular saints in England and France.

The Legend of St. Valentine
The history of Valentine's Day--and the story of its patron saint--is shrouded in mystery. We do know that February has long been celebrated as a month of romance, and that St. Valentine's Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. But who was Saint Valentine, and how did he become associated with this ancient rite? The Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred. Men of Integrity (Part 2) Pre-Wedding Counseling
Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls,
Gossip here: B is wondering if Love will ever do what she ask of him. It seems Love has not made the appoint he need to for his first marriage counseling appoint. When asked B immediately did what was asked. All it took was the question being asked one time. Now B has decide if she wants to nag him into it or just be patient. A week has gone by and Love has still not made the appointment.
You know, B says to Love...tomorrow is a church day. (She thinks, hint, hint.)
"What of it? " said Love
B said nothing more and went about her business. She may not be the best person God created, the one thing her dad taught her was if he was not willing to make an effort then he is not worth marring. Even if he is "Love".
At work that day her co-workers asked her how her wedding plans were coming along. "Great, I hired a wedding planner. She has met with our pastor and their coordinators. I am excited! It looks like we are going to have a nice wedding."
At the other side of town....
Love was at work talking with his work buddies. "What's up?" "Nothing! B just keeps asking me to make an appointment for marriage counseling. It is my turn to meet alone with Pastor B. You know I don't like talking! He's going to ask, questions. You know I just like my quiet self. It's something I have to do. What man likes counseling sessions?"
His friend, buddies just got quiet. They knew he was mental at that moment.
When he got home that evening after work. Love asked B for the phone number to Pastor B office. He knew he could look it up on the internet, but he wanted B to know he was going to make the dread appointment.
Love called to make the appoint but the office was closed.
He told B the office was closed, he didn't leave a message knowing they would see him the next day!
The phone rang and B answered.
It was the wedding planner to discuss some details.
"How are you, B?"
"Good, a little stressed out." said B
"It's to early to get stressed out! Wait till it gets closer to the date. Did you start the conseling classes? You know the
church requires it before you get married there. They take along time. We want to get those out of the way. Before the family decisions plays part. Counseling especially marriage counseling should be private between the couple. You both will have to figuire out things together. The more you talk about it with others the more complex it gets. Now, for my part, do you have a time we can get together to vist venues? I know what you said you wanted, so I have some creative ideas, and traditional ones." Questioned Diamond
"Yes, sounds great, I will have to talk with Love about it and get back to you on the dates that would work best. For the record we met as a couple, now we are meeting as individuals. I have started the process, I am waiting on Love to make his appointment. I will get back to you with the dates. B said.
"Thanks, B. Don't worry, Love seems like a good man, he will make the appoinment. Talk with you soon. If you can email me three dates. That way I can try to find which on fits best for the venues and us." Diamond hung up.

Men of Integrity (Part 1) Wedding Plans
Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls:
We all wonder what men discuss when they are together. Especially before a wedding. Do you think think they have it ease then us woman? Do you think they get away with things? What is your idea of premarital counseling? As woman is expected certain things, men are also expected certain things.
B came home after her meeting with Pastor B and told her love. "It's your turn to visit Pastor B.?" "Pastor B? What are you talking about? I don't need counseling...that is something woman need?" said Love "What? Do you want to marry me?" B asked. "You know I do?" Love said in a somewhat condescending manner. "I asked you, didn't I?" Then make an appointment.
Nothing elese was said about the rest of the evening. They both went about their business. B didn't want to be consider a nag. The next week went by without either of them talking about the subject. B began to wonder how much he really loved her? That is the typical thing women do right? No...she was a little smarter than that. Men of integrity she thought should not be nagged, they should want to do what is right. Not only in the eyes of God but also in her eyes. She waited patiently. This was after all their "couple" act, okay other people had seen them and thought often as a couple. They had been dating for several years. After all, they were living together.
B thought of her and Love as any other couple. The only difference was she knew he was the love of her life. She had not thought of another since they were together. She wanted to know if he felt the same, actions speak louder than words. Since, she knew that if she force him, she would never know if it was something he wanted or if she was just not willing to do something this important on his own.
Let see what happens as the week continues....

Staying in Touch
Hi there, Diamond Glamour Girls:
Gossip here: I was going through my files today...trying to think about what to write. I am not sure...what Gossip really is. As a christian woman we are told not to do it. As a mom it is highly important to listen in order to protect our children and our families, but not partake. As a woman it is thought of as an unkind act against another. As a blogger it is my way of expressing thought and communicating with others who relate to what I right about. If gossip offends you then don't read this. If gossip is what you thrive on then remember, it is how you use the information you receive.
Here is something I came across that I hold dear to my heart. It is who I was, who I hope to be again someday, it is a moment in time shared with someone, I believed in. It was written by a man I respect. I had the pleasure of praying with. I was a witness to how amazing Jesus can be. It was a time of healing for me. It was a time of change, a change that I am now trying to get use to. Clinging on to these words, help comfort the soul within me.
I respected the person, his wife and their family. Never realizing that the change I would experience in my life would have drastic effect on my family. (For the record, I didn't gossip then, I just prayed.) Bonnie, a woman of grace I respect your gentle spirit, I am not sure how you stay married to a sinner. However I am glad he is a "sinner saved by grace." "Grace, mercy and peace will be with us from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the son of the Father, in truth and love." "He should know that the one who turns a sinner back from his wandering path will save that person's soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins." James 5:20

Praying without ceasing...
"Prayer not only puts us in touch with God,
but in touch with God's people.
Sometimes I find myself wandering through the sanctuary
during the week all alone and 'with completely empty.
It's so quiet, so peaceful,
a great place to pray.
Sometimes I sit down in your seat.
A lot of your sit in the same seat each week,
So I can walk through
and sit in the vicinity of where you sit
and pray for you...
Pray for what you are doing during the week,
pray for your families,
pray for your kids.
Prayer allows us
to be together a lot more
during the week than we actually are physically."
~ Bob Botsford
I hope in time I will stop wandering...and be back in my own "Praying without ceasing"... for now I will just gossip about it.
